Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder or 1 sm clove minced
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 8 oz ziti or elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
Directions:
- Saute ground beef, onion and green pepper until onion is tender and beef is lightly browned
- Drain off excess fat and add tomatoes, tomato sauce and spices
- Stir well
- Mix with cooked pasta
- Pour in pan and bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly
- Serves 6
