Dairy Pasta Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or fresh garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Directions:

  • In a small bowl whisk together first 5 ingredients
  • Pour 1 1/2 C milk in pot, let simmer, slowly add flour mixture until it becomes thick (it will thicken a nice amount)
  • Close heat & you can add cheese now

String Beans

Ingredients:

  • String Beans
  • Garlic, crushed
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Directions:

  • Mix all ingredients and bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes

Asparagus Salad

Ingredients:

  • Heart of palm sliced
  • Blanched asparagus (dropped into boiling water for 3 minutes, put under cold water right away)
  • Cherry tomatoes halved
  • Scallions sliced
  • Avocado in med pieces

Directions:

  • Mix together vinegar, oil, crushed garlic, salt, pepper and Dijon mustard
  • Pour over salad right before serving

Broccoli Kugel

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag frozen broccoli pieces (I use florets)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 3 Tbsp soup mix
  • 3 Tbsp Mayo
  • 1/4 C oil

Directions:

  • Mix all ing and pour into round size pan
  • Sprinkle with corn flake crumbs
  • Bake @ 350 for 1 hour

Spicy Matzah Balls

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup matzah meal
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp basil powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tbsp oil

Directions:

  • In one bowl mix matzah meal, salt, pepper, basil, garlic powder and baking powder
  • In other bowl, beat eggs with oil
  • Add wet to dry ingredients
  • Mix gently, do not overmix
  • Refrigerate 1 hour
  • Place balls into boiling water, reduce to low & cook for 1/2 hour
