Israeli Lokshin Kugel

Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4.5 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Less than a tsp pepper
  • 12 oz thin noodles

Instructions

  • Boil all ingredients besides noodles
  • Add noodles
  • Let stand 12-15 mins

Add

  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Let stand 10-15 mins.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9×13 pan
  • Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour

Babaganoush – Chatzillim

Babaganoush – Chatzillim

Ingredients:
1 Eggplant
3 tsp Mayonnaise
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder or 1 clove garlic (crushed)
1/8 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions:
1. Poke eggplant with a knife, in several spots around the eggplant
2. Place eggplant in a baking pan and bake at 350 for 2 hours
3. Cut eggplant in half and scoop out insides into a bowl
4. Mash eggplant (while still hot) and mix with mayonnaise and spices
optional: use a blender for a smoother texture

Variations:
Broil Eggplant for 45 min
